Hey,

After a mix up with getting my modchip installed (they installed a modbo 3 rather than the v4 i ordered) i decided to get a Ghost v2 instead ( This is the only good chip that i can get installed).

I was wondering whether the ghost has anything like ToxicOS that the DMS4 has. If not, where do u get the firmware from (on their site it seems to be the legal firmware, which isn't wat i want) that can do what their site says it can?

I had a look put i am not sure wat to trust and wat is the best.
I found http://zetha.lescigales.org/ and http://www.q2uantum.com/
but i am not sure if they are up to date, if their are any others or whether there is something like Toxic OS/Bios 4 tha ghost

wat i meant was a firmware or program that is similar to the Toxic OS for Ghost (although id love it if Toxic worked on Ghost)

Are their firmware for Ghost v2 that are similar to tocix Os?

I am a noob at mods and firmware etc. for them so i am not sure, all i know aboout toxic os is that it is popular and gives alot more features. Could you help with this Ghost/mod stuff cause i don't understand alot of it.

The real advantage of ToxicOS lies in its ability to play games better than other programs (HDLoader/USBAdvance) from the HDD (build in cheat for HDD games), apart from that other things can be achieved by using a launcher, which all modchips can boot anyway

An application launcher which lets you boot other programs stored in your memory card/disc/USB flash/HDD etc. Basically you can boot that (I use uLaunchELF cos it's the best I've used so far), then I can choose to run my HDLoader (for playing games from HDD), ExecFTP (for establishing FTP between PS2/PC), SMS (play divx/mp3 etc from PS2) etc etc.

ok...so where would i get the launcher from, where would i find/get the elf's from and wat firmware should i use for the ghost (cuz i 'm not going to use the standard cuz it doesn't give you all the capabilities)?

most programs can be found in http://www.sksapps.com/ . What I suggest you do is to get the chip first, then come back for more help (preferrably after you've tried to do it yourself so you know exactly what problem you have and not what problems you THINK you'll have)
