Hi everyone. I am sooo sick of windows xp. Anyway, here is my problem. I installe dthe corporate windows cd and everything was going fine until a few days ago i got a message on the screen that says the registry file is corrupt. I tried to do a repair install with another windows xp cd i have however once everything was installed the system automatically restarted to complete the installation of windows xp, i got an error that said:

lsass.exe
system error

The endpoint is invalid

OK

Once you press ok, the whole retarting process starts again and tries to complete the installation of windows but never can b/c of this endpoint error. Now...i have 3 partitions and none of them work (2 are corrupted and 1 is not done installing yet). Please help.

Just asking but where did you get the corporate windows cd? and also did you do and upgrade or is this a clean install?

"lsass.exe" is the Local Security Authentication Server. It verifies the validity of user logons to your PC/Server. It generates the process responsible for authenticating users for the Winlogon service. This process is performed by using authentication packages such as the default Msgina.dll. If authentication is successful, Lsass generates the user's access token, which is used to launch the initial shell.

1. Seriously, stay away from Windows OSes coming from Torrent sites.
2. Doing a repair installation with a different 'version' of Windows can cause problems.

My advice. Ditch the torrent, use a legit CD to install, activate, update with all security patches EXCEPT the Notification tool (which you will see in the list)...and be done with it!

No, he is right.

Edit: You have downloaded some virus. Ditch the torrent ware and at least get OEM software. (This shit ain't cheap and Windows ain't about to let it go for free.)

You need to buy a legit Windows XP disc. Talking about in-depth discussion of pirated material isn't aloud here.Sorry

Yeha just get a different copy ov windows off a friend or sum1, and reinstall it and delete partition, format, install, and don`t b telling every1 you r dloading sh*t off torrent sites you never know who you are talking 2, I think you are allowed to use the same copy of windows on 3 pc`s, so if you have a nice friend get them to send you 1 via msn compressed with WinRAR, unpack it burn to disc and install :)
