I still can't believe it, I just had to tell yall.
Anyway, as for the real story, here it is.
Well, my friend thought he had a DVD burner so he bought himself 2 Digital(thats the company name) 8X +R DVD's at a random 99 cent store near 1 for $1, and he realized he had no use for them after he found out he actually didn't have a DVD burner. So he asked me if I wanted them(since I do and I use RiData DVD+R's) for like 7 CD's, and I said yea, since I had a 50 pack of Sony & RiData CD-R's left.
So I gave them to him and I got 1, since he forgot where the other was. Well, until then, like this Saturday or something, I had it in my DVD drive waiting to check who it was by, of course I didn't expect anyone since the brand name sounded SO/VERY GENERIC, I mean, it's name is Digital rofl, and he bought it at a 99 cent store, which is even lamer and I lmao to that.
So I checked it today in DVD Decrypter since I remembered, and it turned out to be no other than...
Disc ID: YUDEN000-T02-00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
All I can say is wow, and I'm amazed as hell right now. I gotta definetly get the other one, and I had $10 just sitting right here for no reason, so I'll just give them to him and get 10 more TAIYO YUDENS right away.
I gotta try these out and burn 1, I'll even post some log or something, or an error check if anyone wants, just tell me where to go, if it's Nero DVD Identifier or something, I think I have it.
Thank God too, I only had 12 or 13 of my RiData +8x's left. And what better to get than Taiyo Yuden. I have really hit the jackpot, damn this is a great day. Made $32 online for free too(won't tell where, it'd be advertising). :D :D :D
Please no one ruin my day and say that's a fake disc ID lol. :)

Glad to see that you've been getting Taiyo medias at so low price and enexpectedly what a real surprise for you!But one thing,can you just check on the disc recording side,near the inner hub,if you can see some codes starting with TG00xxxx where xxxx can be any number,which is in fact the batch number.You should look really well because sometimes it's a bit hard to see.I don't wish them to be fake but before going to get some more i guess you would like to be really sure they are genuine ones.The inner hub coding till now is the only real indication which can tell you if the media is real Taiyo or not.
I'm not trying to ruin your day but before you go forward and spend that extra $10,better be really sure.

EDIT:My bad when i said "...at so low price...",did not read his post carefully and due to his "OMG" and "WOW",these really misleaded me making me think that he actually did get it at low price but in fact he overpaid it so badly!!!

Paying $1 apiece for discs that may be fake Taiyo Yudens is taking it hard in the shorts buddy . . . even $1 each for the genuine article is getting the old shaft pretty hard . . I NEVER pay more than 30˘ each for ANY discs . . .

back to the topic of $1 a disc, wow, even here in ripoff Britain i don't ever have to pay that, i usually pay about 26p a disc (for ultra sexy 'Verbatim TY' discs - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/229523)

Yeah that's way too expensive,i paid mine(the TY verb at $0.32 each) and the top on that,don't know if he got genuine Taiyo or not,because all he got is the media ID,which we all know can be faked.But let's see what the inner hub code he has.
Btw,Creaky i realy like the way you describe these verbatim as "Ultra Sexy".

Of course I knew they were too high lmao, I'm just buying them cause I don't have to wait for shipping and w/e. Almost everyone on this board knows $1 a disc is expensive, even for TY, my 100 pack of RiData's were only like $29 shipped at newegg. Besides, it's not like I can't get more money. :D
And they do have some numbers on the inner hub, hard for me to read though, my sight isn't all that.

Man!Paying so much for a disc,at least you should be sure you're getting the right stuff here and not getting fake ones for this price.The inner hub coding is what can tell you if they're genuine or not.But noone is pushing you to do that,you do as you please.If you have read some other threads you would have known how to check that and i'm just sparing you from going to check thread by thread to know if you have the genuine Taiyo in your hands or fake ones.I know it's very hard for some people to actually see these codes starting with TG00....(because they are of the same colour as the disc and so small),some even use magnifying glasses just to check and to have piece of mind.

DL's are expensive, I don't really buy them because there's really no point, DVD's are way cheaper, and DL's dont even have the full 2x space as a regular DVD if I remember correctly. When you can get a TY at like 30 cents, why not get 2 instead of a DL for $2? To me, it's better to just split whatever u were gonna put on the DL and have it on 2 DVD's at that price difference.
And I'd rather just wait for Blu-Ray's prices to come down anyway, $16 for 1 BD disc is expensiveeeeeee as hell.
When they do get as cheap as DVD's(I really hope so), I'll be the 1st to stock up.

Some people like me,,don't like to put 2 disks in when watching
a movie,jus like putting it in and forget it till movies done.

lmao, i cant even tell the difference between a compressed and uncompressed movie in DVD X Copy, they both look the same to me on my HDTV and comp.

I can only agree that our new friend marik1234 here will be getting ripped even if his OMG - Wow Dollar Store wonders are genuine TY ! Especially when he can get 4 Genuine TY's @ Supermediastore for the same dollar if he buys in bulk ! Heck ! He could probably even get Verbatims for 30.cents ea. @ Newegg ?
