I am trying to copy some VHS tapes to a DVD. My computer has a SVideo connection on the Video Card. Is this just for output or can I connect my VHS Player to this to record. Or should I be looking at connecting to the computer via a USB connection

Hey 34affc

The S-Video connection on your video card is most likely for output. Google the model number on the card to make sure. Also, I haven't come across any VCR's with USB connections on them, so your best bet is probably going to be going out to bestbuy and purchasing an inexpensive capture card ($40-$60). The capture card has the composite inputs (Yellow, Red, and White) along with an S-Video input. This should solve your problems. Hope this helps.
