The first thing is that the ps2 has disk read error... I replaced the laser and still same problem... it makes a weird noise when it tries to read the disk... as if it was getting stuck or something.... not too sure what it is though... any ideas on why I get disk read errors??

The board modle number is GH-006, the modle number is SCPH-30002, the cd/dvd drive laser was replaced with a brand new one, and when i play an original game, Disk Read Error appears on the screen... not sure what other information i can give you..
any suggestions?

How a long ago did you replace the laser? It sounds like it could be dirty/defective. If your PS2 won't boot originals, that's not a good sign. Here's a guide which might help you out. Try reseating it, cleaning it, and if all else fails, you may just've gotten a defective laser.
