My Sony DVD (DVP-NC600) player took a crap on me; so I am in the market for a new DVD player. My major concerns relate to playing burned DivX, XviD, and AVI files. My first option is the Toshida SDK760 at Costco for $49.99. I have a gift card from Costco, which may sweeten the deal if it works for my purposes.

Does the Toshida SDK760 plays XviD? The specs on this model do not mention XviD or AVI; yet this link may provide a glimmer of hope.

My second option would be the popular Phillips DVP5960.

Please let me know if you have any experience with the Toshiba SDK760 or have additional suggestions for my DVD purchase. My budget is around $75 for DVD player.
