Im having the same trouble with my just bought nokia 1600, in Australia.

What network are you locked to?

Australian phones are not the easiest to unlock.

Vodafone. The lady in the shop said it wouldnt be locked. She was wrong.

Only try the codes once and once only!!!

Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked.

If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked.

If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking it to a professional unlocker.
