DVD sound, but no picture

I have ripped some VCR tapes to mpeg2 files. I am then demultiplexing the files using TMPGEnc and authoring my DVD using IfoEdit. I am then burning to DVD using either Nero or Instant Copy. In each case, the DVD plays fine on my computer using PowerDVD, but only the sound plays on my standalone DVD player (Toshiba 3750). The player does recognize the disk as a DVD. Any ideas?
