Hi people, I need some help: I got a lot of old vhs tapes (some with more than 15 years old!) and I want to put in dvd. How can I do that?
I want to know how to connect my video-device to computer to capture the "movie"..convert to an acceptfull format so I can record a dvd.
(it´s not vhs about movies, it´s about my childhood). What´s the easy way to do that?

If I was simply copying home videos to dvd, I would use a dvd recorder.
The amount of work and headaches involved in capturing video to a PC via a PVR is not worth the effort.Also note that your PC is, in effect, out of use while the software burns up the CPU trying to process the input.

Although attar is right I would recommend using a capture card in your case because the VHS tapes are so old. An ATI all-in-wonder has software filters that can be used to make the captured VHS tape better. You can also get programs that can enhance the captured output. If you have the money a full frame TBC is recommended also (about $200 USD).
