I have heard that they are related somehow, but how? Does one own the other?

Quote: Verbatim have entrusted the manufacture of the disc to the world renowned Taiyo Yuden factory. These discs carry Taiyo Yuden's 16x DVDINFO tag of TYG03. Couple that with Verbatim's high levels of packaging and quality control and you have what is probably one of the best quality DVDR discs in the world!
Did I miss anything out?

Hey Creaky,
thanks.
btw: need a favor: We need more mod down at Xbox 360 discussion. people are talking- they want split forums now. Probabaly Games, general, Hack, backup... There are mods down there but it seems he/she only deltes stuff and lock things, but doesn't reply or sticky stuff. There are a couple threads that everyone agrees should be stickied. talk to managment and i hope we can sort this out.
thanksman,
j

I just noticed that teh Sony DVD-Rs that my store just got in are MIJ which mean only one thing TYs baby! The odd part that all of the DVD+Rs that we just got are all MIT. I'm guessing they are just getting rid of old stock before they send us some beautiful new ty03 Sony DVD+Rs.
I raided the bargain bin again today. Found a 20 pack of Verb DVD+R DLs for only 8 dollars, and a 10 pack of Fuji MIJ 8X DVD+Rs for a buck fifty. Gotta love the bargain bin.

@Cincyrob, I work at Best Buy.
Just ask at customer service if they have any "open item" blank DVD/CDs.
Yes, the packages have been open by people who thought they had hardware that they really didn't have, but nothing is damaged or writen on. Ive pulled probably over 600 DVDs from the bin of various brands and book types and all perform as if they were brand new. Plus you have a chance of finding older media that is discontinued.
