Tenikey,
Welcome to the forum. That error can be scratches, Bad mastering press or the new DVD encryptions that Shrink can not decrypt. If it is scratches or Bad Mastering Press then you need to return it for an exchange. If the encryptions then the below is what you need to do

If it is the encryptions then you can use Ripit4Me ( free)or DVDFab Decrypter(free) and rip the DVD to HD. If you use DVDFAB Dec. then you need to use VobBlanker to correct any structural problems. Then use Shrink on those files

You can also use AnyDVD and use the ripping function it has to rip the DVD to HD but this program costs $39.00 US

What movie are you doing, Shrink has not been updated in years to handle the newer encryption. So it will give off this error if it is a newer movie within the last 20 months or so. You will need free program DVDFab Decrypter to rip the movie to your HDD and then you can process with Shrink.

If the file does not go through Shrink you may have to use another free program VobBlanker to get rid of any bad sectors in the file.

If you still receive a CRC error on your rip, it may just be a bad/damaged disk. Try cleaning it with some mild soap and water, or take it back for another original.

cyclic redundancy...is a very strange error to me..it only happens @the end of the disc{in my case}, on every one that errored the last couple of files are always suspect to me when im using unfamiliar backup media, like hokey pokey cheapo dvd's for example
