I have a Slimline PS2 with Action Replay Max, Swap Magic v3.6+ and a USB memory stick. I really want to play my one and only psone backup Chrono Cross. I have no original psone game to use as a 'trigger disc'. Is there any way to play psx backups without breaker pro. Could I use a copy of breaker pro on cdloader. Is there an elf file like launchelf that could enable me to do so. Could I use a burnt copy of gameshark with swap magic? Please help what should I do.
I have found something on a website and posted what it said on this forum. It's a guide to loading a PlayStation game using LaunchELF on a Version 9-14C PlayStation 2. Here's the link: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/341229. You'll need to make a LaunchELF disc, though(you can boot it through Swap Magic. You can't use a PlayStation trigger disc on the slim because the old buffer overflow glitch of the fat console has been fixed). Use my 3-method exploit(link in my sig) for PlayStation 2s for instructions on how to make a disc(just remember, in "Files", don't put anything in there if you want to use LaunchELF to load a PlayStation backup). Also, only download PS2 Exploit Utility 5.0 and Alcohol 120%. Then read steps 2 to 5.
