Hi, Could someone tell me what is the optimal mpeg2 resolution and bitrate setting for capturing a VHS Tape in mpeg2. What is the limit of the bitrate setting where above it wouldn?t increase the quality and just waste space? and same for audio.

Thanks

As for the audio, to be honest, I don't spend too much time searching for the optimal bitrate. For 2-channel stereo VHS to DVD, I use 48 kHz, 384 Kbps. For mono, 224 Kbps. That's probably overkill though.
