i accidently renamed my evoxdash.xbe file, and now it's not booting up, and it wont FTP to my computer.
does anyone know how to resolve this? i have no idea how to fix it, so please, all help this way

soft mod saves as in what?
i'm not sure, i wasn't the one who modded my xbox, what would the save be?
i know i have such things such as dvd kit save, and dvd2xbox save
but i think that's it for saves on my xbox,

the saves are the softmod installer saves,what game did you use to softmod the xbox?

again, i'm not sure, i'm not the one who modded the xbox.
although the game used to install soft mods are either splinter cell, 007 nighfire, or mechassault am i right?
my friend gave it back to me with a burn't copy of splintercell. so i'm led to beleive that he might have used splinter cell to install.
although i'm not sure, what should i be looking for in the save section?

anything that says linux installer or SID 4...and does the xbox still boot to evox or the ms-dash?

I see nothing about linux or SID 4,
It boots to the ms dash board now

well an easy way to get back so you can FTP is if you put the softmod saves back on there and insert the game you softmodded with that will bring you back to the SID screen and you can FTP from there....

Ok, how would i get the softmod saves back on to my xbox? because the guy who modded my xbox lives like on the other side of the country (canada) would i need to contact him some how?
or is there a way i can re-format my hardrive and some how re-install evox?
