Hello: If I use an Altona PAL/NTSC converter-

by hooking up a region-free player, could I feasibly convert the disc (region-free, copy of a PAL movie) into the NTSC format?

The guy selling it said it would work, but I thought I'd ask people who don't actually want my money, and who know their stuff.

Not familiar with the program that you mention, but it is definately a doable task. Most newer PAL players should handle NTSC just fine with no conversion necessary.
