I got a ps2 just laying there..i heard from a close freind that you can use Hd Loader to copy a game to your hard disk or transfer it from your computer. I really would like to learn how but all i have right now is the Final Fantasy Disk and the Network Adapter + the hope of actualy doing it right. So i need some guidence on what to do to get the job dun right.

depends, the cheapest way would be to buy HD Advanced.
Then the hard drive and network adapter which you already have would work.
As far as getting them from the PC to the PS2 you have several options.
1. you can download a free program called Winhiip which can be used to format the hard drive and transfer games, but of course this will require you to take the hard drive out of the PS2 and put it into the PC every time you want to add a game.
2. then there is the more complicated method of setting up an FTP connection between the two. This can be done with free PS2 FTP software and a $12 RJ45 Crossover Cable. This way you can transfer them without removing the hard drive. It is basically a local Area Network (LAN) between the PC and PS2 like the Xbox does.
3. Then there is the expensive, but best, method (for the fat PS2 not the slimline). You get a DMS4 Pro SE chip installed. Once flashed with the free ToxicOS V0.41 you will have all the software needed to run games, install games from the disk right to the hard drive, delete games, a built in cheat device, and more.
This can also be done to a V12 or V13 slimline but is very expensive as you need to buy a special kind of case to fit the internal hard drive.
