I've ripped the DVD localy.
Then used Pinnacle Instand CD/DVD to creat the backup. Original DVD 7.4Gb, Pinnacle compressed by 14% ish, the trailers on the final dvd had sound, the main menu had sound, but the actual moive had no sound at all. Any ideas?

Is a compression ratio of 14% enough?Was the original a Dual Layer Disc?

It was a Dual Layer Disc, 14% seemed to be enought, hardley any loss of picture or anything, besides the sound.

I'd suggest taking menu & extras out but if you simply must have them then I'd use 'DVD Shrink' myself..
