Ok i just got Swap Magic and Fliptop cover. I boot the DVD and get to the Load game, Video Set (or something) screen. I open the Fliptop and swap to my FFXII game. Its original, or atleast i think it is. I bought it on ebay from a seller in Hongkong., it looks like original in anyway (except when i look at pics of the JP cover, front cover that is, http://www.ff12-europe.com/Images/art/box_jap.jpg thats the cover i see on all pictures. But mina dosent have the CERO mark on the front and the bottom on the back looks diffrent, no yellow box and no JAPAN ONLY, instead theres a FOR HOME USE ONLY.
Anyway i have an idea what the problem can be, maybe i got a backup game and not the orignal and it was bad burned (but i can put the file on my PC and play it on a PS2 emu, i had to try and see if it worked on a emu). Or its a dual layer DVD? Someone said it should have a more gold look then silver, which i think it has. Im not 100% sure though, is there any other way to know if its a dual or single layer dvd?
Anyway anyone else with the same problem as me? Or anyone that can play the original game with Swap Magic?
Can someone tell me what i need to do? I downloaded a FFXII file (the commenst on it said it worked) and im gonna try burn it on a single layer dvd and see if it works. But anyway, what can i have done wrong?
Oh btw here is my disc http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/7579/bild013au0.jpg For you who owns the original is this one fake? and one more question, is there anything i can have done wrong while instaling the Fliptop that can be the cause of not beeing able to boot the game?
Okey so its a 1 layer dvd. But why wont my PS2 boot it then? Everyone gets it to work with Swap Magic but i dont? Is there anything with the fliptop i can have done wrong?
i have the same problem actually i have that swap magic 3.6+ as well but it came in this bundle set called "ultimate disc swap v2.0" is that what you got as well? did you ever find the answer to your question? and my game says the same thing on them too like "for japan only" but i know they can't be backups cuz that have that offically looking stuff on the disc like the PS logo watermark ( that's what i would call it" and its' got NTSC written on the disc (but i could be wrong) i'm still having problems with my imports loading and it's p!ssing me off! so if you found out how to work your imports please let me know thanks
Okey so i got it to work. The thing is when I (dont know if you did the same as me) was gonna swap using fliptop i didnt "put in the import correctly". Its hard to explaine, i can take some pics later to show you.
you don't have to go out of the way for lil ol' me lol ;) but i got my ultimate disc swap v2.0 to finally play my imports !!! but instead of magic swap 3.6+ i used cd loader for my dvd rom games and COG swap for my cd rom game but it be a nice to know how you got that magic swap to work i still couldn't get it to work after many attempts
