in a recent post i asked what was wrong with my xbox because everytime i FTP, the new harddrive i put in would not show up on my pc. i was told to fromat it. how do i format the drive. should i just delete what was on it and then put it back on. please help. thanks.

how do u format with chimps. i have the harddrive on my xbox already and it works fine, it just wont show up when i FTP. i looked at other forums about chimps and they all mention formatting when u first put it in. mine has been in for a while now. does it matter?

well when you format the HD it will erase everything on it......if your HD is fine and works then everything should come up when you FTP...

ya thats the problem. i have games on it and they all play fine. if i use a filemanager on my xbox it shows that there is an f drive, but when i FTP to my pc the only drives that show up are c, d, and e. the drive with all of the space is the f drive, so i dont no wat the problem is. any ideas?

right now im using smart FTP, but i have tried FlashFXP, cute FTP, and thats all that i can remember right now.
