DivX/XviD and MP3 with DMS4 Lite SE

Hi!

I just bought a PSTWO with a DMS4 Lite SE chip. It can load PS2 backups and imports no problem but PS1 games don't boot at all only orginals... and I can't get and of my DivX/XviD movies or mp3 discs working... do you need some kinda software to get it going? And if so where can I find it. Has anybody had to restart your PS2 twice before it starts reading the disc?

you may need a media player.
But if you want you can always get something like
VSO DivX to DVD http://www.bestshareware.net/vsodivxtodvd.htm
this is what i use. It can convert the DivX file into a format that the PS2 can play like ISO or a video-TS folder (VOB Files)
then you can burn it to DVD and play it.
One word of warning is it takes quite a wile to convert stuff.
a regular size movie takes around 2 hours just to convert it.

Thx, I'll check out this SMS Player for DivX:D When you turn off your console from playing a burnt game do you sometimes have to reboot twice to get things running again?

It has been know to happen, especially if you have a house that is not really cool and the system gets heated up.
