Hello everyone,
I'm trying to transfer old betamax tapes to dvd using a stand-alone pioneer dvd recorder.
when the video signal (going through rca cables) goes into a vhs, it's fine. when i hook it up directly to the dvd recorder, it jumps, jumbles and otherwise looks nasty. i've tried a video stabilizer (macrovision remover) and recording the betamax to vhs then transferring the vhs to dvd, still can't get the signal to stop becomming corrupt once it hits the dvd recorder. any ideas, suggestions, advice?
seems like there should be some sort of device that will regulate the signal so i can go directly to dvd.

THANKS!
