I just bought a network adapter from a used software store and i have a webstar boardband modem. I don't have the startup disc needed, but I do have SoCom 2 with the ability to edit your network. I am still having problems with it, it is saying no internet conection. Please help, so I can play my ps2 on line. Thank you all in advance!

Does your internet service require a username and password and is it encrypted? I don't know if these options are able to be filled out through Socom II's setup and it could be the cause.

more information would help, like this:
1. what are the settings on your PC connection like the IP Address, Default Gateway, Subnet Mask
2. what did you set the PS2 settings for the above at?
3. Does your router require you to do "prot forwarding" in order for other devices to connect.
4. are you using a crossover cable between the router and PS2
5. did you set up a LAN connection on the PC to use with the PS2 or are you just using whatever connection was already there
6. have you tried to enable "network sharing" on the PC connection.
