i got a slim line ps2 and i bought the swap magic and tools. it worked for a week but then when i put either the dvd or cd version the laser part that moves up and down makes this awful sound, first it goes to the middle of the swap magic dvd and then to the edge and it makes more bad sounds as if it is like jumping or something and then it doesnt even load it goes back to the system browser(where the memory cards are). and the weird part is that it only happenes when i put in the swap magic dvd but not when i put in an original ps2 game in.

please i really need help on this

that is actually one i have never heard before.
Have you tested you Swap Magic discs on any other modded systems to see if they worked?
Did they ever work on yours?

the little cart that moves the laser first reads the center of the swap magic dvd (same thing with the cd) then to the edge ,It used to take like 10 seconds to load swap magic successfully on my ps2 but after this happened the little clouds and cubes that are there just appear and disappear after 1 second and thats when its starts to make a jumping sound and takes me back to the memory card browser

also i dont have another ps2 i can test it on as the problem appears to be only with my ps2 and the swap magic discs but not original games

also i checked everything and nothing is blocking the laser cart from moving
