Since this doesn't seem to be addressed (google searches turn up nothing, nor does a search of this forum) directly... assuming ToxicOS on a DMS 4 Pro SE chip modeed PS2, and a 160GB or larger Hard drive (I'm running a Seagate 250GB) formatted APAEXT, what UTILITY apps can run?

I realize those "patched for 48-bit support" are verboten, and I know exactly why. I also suspect "APAEXT" merely enables full 32-bit support for the IDE controller (or maybe enables use of 1 or 2 more bits to extend the addressing capability without altering the disk format). I have been around but I've been out of the PS2 modding world since 2002, so I'm just catching up.

Anyway, I've installed the ToxicOS Megapack apps to the hard drive, and I'm wondering what I can safely use to transfer data to the hard drive. I've seen one report of a user with corruption from using MyPS2.

There are no readmes in the Megapack apps, and no indication if they've been patched for 48-bit LBA support. This is a rather significant omission.

So the question is, what apps are KNOWN to work, without corrupting APAEXT drives, and conversely, which ones are KNOWN to corrupt an APAEXT drive (probably due to built-in 48-bit LBA code or patches)?

You can obviously use the built in DMS installer as well as winhiip for PC.
