so i used DVD Shrink and i have had two movies half way thru freez on me i use Nero to burn with, its not a heat problem i checked. the brand dvd is memorex i have tried using other programs as well dvd fab, VOB blanker. but still the movie plays about 20 minutes and then freez.
i am running windows xp
1 gb mem.
2.6ghz proc
80 gig hard drive

can any please help me fix this problem

It is probably down to your poor media choice, Memorex is crap media, get rid of them.

Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony(MIJs), Maxell(MIJs), Fuji(MIJ's)

MIJ's = Made in Japan

EDIT: Burn at a slower speed 4x is a good place to start

the fix is easy, use better quality media like Pazzini said in his post,

well now that you mention it i have had a lot of memorex to have failed to complete burn and have had to throw a lot of them away i will give it a try thanks for the recomendations on the other cd software. Dark
