Its a file that comes from your X box's mother board that locks and unlocks your hdd when you turn it on. Every xbox has its own specific epprom bin file, so you can't interchange certain parts from one console to the other with out it. Have you softmodded? Will it boot a game?

it will boot a game but without one i no and yes i did softmod it and is is the like unleash x or evox and stuff like that cause on the evox before i deleted it and the ms dash it said unlock and lock but i didnt bother with that cause i didnt want to screw it up.

Reinstall a dash(unleashed) to C:\ drive and delete the softmod, the chances are that when you softmodded it is in the wrong folder and is interacting with another program, what size hard drive do you have
