Hi all!

I have a problem that reading through all the previous threads has not been able to solve.
I have downloaded many copies of C&C Generals disk 1......iso's as well as a few .bin/.cue files. (Off p2p software)
I have successfully been able to burn disk 2, but disk 1 is downloaded with safedisk 2X. So, I have tried to burn this to CD-R following the directions in previous threads, but it still gives me an error and ClonyXXL tells me Safedisk2X is still there. I have an LG 8080B CDRW drive. Could this be the problem?
If not, how the hell can I burn this disk without including that copy protection?

Thanks in advance to all who respond!

I believe your LG burner is considered a "1 sheep burner" (EFM Encoding) so you'll need to use Alcohol 120 1.4.3.518. Burn the image using the Safedisc 2 datatype and select RAO DAO and burn at 8x. After burning insert your backup in your LG cdrw, NOT your dvd\cd-rom and choose "ignore media type" in emulation. Run Alcohol 120 in system tray (startup) and your backup "should" play.

Try Custom datatype as your LG should be able to write RAO DAO (packet) mode m8.

I checked out your burner at CloneCD's supported burners website and much to my amazement, your LG doesn't write RAO DAO mode m8. Select DAO SAO and follow instructions I previously posted. Don't be surprised if your backup doesn't work m8. Also, consider a burner that writes RAO DAO (96) such as the new Lite-ON 52\32\52 cdrw.

Damn m8, you already got the new Litey in your hands already (hehe). Ok,open image writing wizard and locate the C&C Generals cue and down near the bottom where it says file format type, choose CDRWin (bin& cue). Click next and choose Safedisc 2 datatype profile and burn RAO DAO at 8x. Your backup should play in your dvd\cd-rom& Litey WITHOUT any emulation whatsoever.

Shoey,

I do not have the originals. I just have the .bin and .cue downloaded from p2p. So, I went image burning wizard, and opened the .cue image-raw/DAO/-write 8X-enable buffer underrun-bypass efm error

Is this right???

Thanks again buddy

I'm not dead m8 (wipes sleep from eyes)..
So were you able to install and play your backup? Bypass efm error need not checked for your burner as your Litey corrects, or writes regular bit patterns correctly . 1 sheep burners need this enabled as these type of burners almost corrects regular bit patters correctly.

Did you try and install your backup from your dvd\cd-rom& burner?
What type of error are you getting when you install? Autorun "should" be enabled m8. Did you try mounting the image(s) with 2 virtual stealth drives and install and play the backups? Try this as an alternative method by using emulation. Go to general>options>enable "ignore media type" then minimize Alcohol 120 to system tray (startup) and insert your backup in your Litey and try and install and play your backup. If this fails we have the latest BlindWrite Suite 4.5 to test.

I think I am going to just go rent the original and try from there.
I will let you know how that goes buddy, and thanks for all your help.
I think my .bin file may be corrupt. It tells me it is however I can choose to ignore and continue; it goes until 100% then just sits there. It never asks for the 2nd disk. Dunno
On the up-side, I have a hell of a lot of good quality coasters...hehehe

Will message soon
