rip.NET is a program that will rip just the main titles of your movies. It functions similar to DVD Shrink's "Re-author" mode.
1. Download rip.NET, DVDFab Decrypter, only if you plan on using it though), DVD Shrink (optional), and Media Player Classic (optional).
2. Install and unzip the programs.
3. Insert the disc that you are trying to copy and open up rip.NET.
4. Hit "SCAN" and wait for a few seconds... Select the longest title if it doesn?t do it for you.
5. Now, click "FOLDER" and select your destination folder. Since size is a big deal with this program, with the exception of "My Documents", you'll need to manually search for your desktop file. This is under "C:\Documents and Settings\ Your User Name \Desktop\ Destination Folder ".
From here, you can do two things. You can choose "START" and let rip.NET process it. After it?s processed, look into the folder and there should be two files (IFO and VOB). Rename the two files to ?VTS_02_0.IFO? and ?VTS_02_1.VOB? respectively. This allows you to process it through DVD Shrink.
Or, you can click on "FULL" and let DVD Decrypter process it, which kind of defeats the purpose of downloading rip.NET.
1. Click "FULL" and select the DVDFab Decrypter Installation Folder. It's usually under "C:\Program Files\DVDFab Decrypter".
2. Now wait for DVDFab Decrypter to do its thing.
3. From here, shrink the files so that they can fit on a standard DVD-5.
Hope this helps those who like to expand their horizons. :)
