Hello all im having problems trying to shrink dvd-9 movies.. i allways get cycle redundency check error half way through,.
Does anyone else have this problem tried different dvd's or could it be my dvd writer is not that good????

Ok , sorry I thought you was talking of Mirror X4 DVD-R media..dunno why [d'oh]
Are you running any other DVD Drives , if you are the you might want to try switching them around from Master/Slave etc (I have seen in this forum before that has solved DVD Writer conflicts)
What are you using to compress btw ? (DVD Shrink,DVD2One...)

im trying to use dvd shrink... they are new movies im trying like the core etc.. and they have been done on dual layer,...

Have you got any ASPI installed on your computer? If not download and install from here:

Also, you posted this 3times?? Cyclic Redundancy checks are performed by DVD Shrink every 8bits. However, to get a problem with it is quite rare from what i've seen. The ASPI is the only thing i can think of at the min>

i am also having these errors
data error:
cyclic redunency check
also my system says there is the aspi driver installed in Nero. but not in my system
i have tried installing the new aspi, but i dont know what to do..i go to run browse then the install file.....then after that i dont know if i put xp64 or xp32...i am running win. xp. pro

hey rob69 i am having the same problem, did u get yours fixed...i think i have an "aspi" problem........but it was working before too...i just dont know.......#@$@$#$ confusing

I have Nero 5.5.10.20 & there is an ASPI layer installed within Nero itself.
If you have Nero Toolkit , contained within this is Nero Info Tool...check see

see i needed one for my system though
still dont know if the scsi problem is fixed though.......when i burn dvd from dvdshrink Nero says there is a scsi error
i updated my aspi system driver and havent tried it yet. dont wanna waste any more dvd+r disks
soo if anyone knows anything let me know

i upgraded to Nero 5.5.10 is there anything i need to do?
cannot get this burning to work
my aspi drivers are fine.
when i go into device manager Nero imagedrive appears there what is that?
