Hi, ive recently bought swap magic 3.6 and fitted slim tools. It definatly works as it spins with the top open. Ive got 5 games which i have downlaoded off the internet and burned as images. This is whats been happening with each game,.
Right, just tried my games and this is the outcome. All games were burned at 2x with ridisc 8x discs. I used Nero to burn them as an image, did simulation then write.
Fight Night Round 3, took a while to load from the swap magic screen then went onto a black screen for ages but disc was still spinning, i tried again and got, not a valid ps2 game.
Tiger woods pga tour 2006, not a valid ps2 disc
Fifa street 2, not a valid ps2 disc.
GTA, Liberty City Stories, Not valid ps2 disc
Need for speed MW, Quick load, black screen for ages, then nfs logo then ages after a sponser thing like 2006 cars etc for ages. Tried again and just black screen with writing for ages.
If this is a media problem which you think it is, i might be able to swap say 20 of my discs for 20 of my dads verbatim 8x. Would this solve the problem ?
Please get back.

I doubt anyone would help you since you clearly mentioned you downloaded the games off the internet. And burning 2x on a 8x dvd may seem like a good idea but it usually isn't, I believe the minimum is 4x though I may be wrong...

I did get a patch for fifa street 2 and then browsed my iso file from the patch.
I am going on holiday on saturday so wont have chance to download any games. Im going to get some verbatim discs off my dad and copy from my old discs.
I didnt know about rebuilding fight night and need for speed.

Ok, the disc, theres 2 types ive heard. One is something to do with cmd dye or somehting. They work when i burn dvds if thats anything to do with it.
Where do i found out if a game needs rebuilding.

Why not try DVD Decrypter? Try .iso option with it. Make sure your games are NTSC.
I hope I won't get the same problem. Oh btw, what about other back-ups, I mean the ones "not dowloaded" from internet?
About the internet downloaded files, did it already say that the file was ".iso"?
^_^ no sig.

Yea then it will be the type of discs you use, I use Taiyo Yuden 8x burnt at 4x and have never had a problem with slow loading or lag( 'cept in GTA games). Verbatem are 2nd best in terms of quality.
