I just got this game and it is not working on my Fliptop fat PS2.
I have done many steps to try to get it to work. Here are my steps:
Got the game
Extracted the files which produced an ISO
Burned the ISO using Alcohol 120%
Did not work
I then tried burning it with Nero 7 by going to Burn Image to Disc, but that did not work either
I have tried rebuilding the game, but with no success
I started off using Memorex DVD+RW's, but then switched to Vertabim DVD+R's
I also tried ripping the ISO file using DVD Decrypter, and then using ISOBuster, but it did not work.
To start up Swap Magic v3.6, I put the DVD Version in normally, wait until it loads, open the Flip top, put in the game, and try Normal boot and Special boot. I also then try changing the Video but with no success. It keeps saying "not a valid ps2 game"
Please help! This is really frustrating as I've wasted 5 DVD+R's (which was not really smart of me and my fault)
Any suggestions? Something I did wrong?
Thanks

It's always good to get a response no matter how late it is =D
Anyways, I actually did get the thing to work, sort of. I first tried with Verbatim 16x DVD+R's. That didn't work out too well. I then tried a DVD+R that I got from a friend, which was a Verbatim 8x DVD+R LightScribe. It did work, BUT, when doing the specials, the game will freeze. It still has this error. Any solutions?

burn @ 4x and booktype it to a dvd-rom. Give Imgburn ago if your not using it. I use DVD-R never have problems with them, but different people have different stories, give it ago anyway it wont hurt :-)

What does it mean to booktype? I do burn as image also. Which DVD-R's are you using? And do you have Swap Magic 3.6 by any chance?

i would explain it but itd just confuse you the way i say it, because i dont really know the whole story about either :-p
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_type But if you have alook at that it should help with the theory behind it.
I dont use Swap Magic got a chip and i use Riteks, taiyo yudens are recommended but im too poor for them.
Imgburn, its a program :-p
http://www.imgburn.com/ Have a look, excellent freeware prog. When you go to burn the ISO, there is a little book in the bottom right hand corner of the program window you can change it in there, if your drive supports it, if it doesnt have a look for a firmware update :-)

Does imgburn let you booktype? My friend also has Narutimate Hero 3 w/ a mod chip and his doesn't freeze either. Is it the media I'm using, the not booktyping, or the file itself?

no it shouldnt be the file, it can be a number of things burn speed, program ur using, media, dvd writer etc. yes imgburn lets you booktype, but your dvd-writer has to have this ability as well. you could stay with verbatim they are good media.

I have Vertabim DVD+R's 16x that didn't work on the file (made in taiwan if that matters) but Verbatim LightScribe's work fine.
Also, if you do have the game, did you get it from demonoid.com or solops2?
Is there a way to contact you via AIM?
