I recently brought 4 games from a guy for my ps2 (ford vs chevy,winning eleven, street v3, and driver: parallel lines). I was told by the guy that i can program my ps2 to play these games with out a mod chip...but i dont know how. t hey worked perfect in his ps2, but they wont work in mine. Can some one please help me?

Are they copies, you wont be able to play them in your ps2 if it isnt modded, it needs to have a mod chip installed, or you can use swap magic to boot your backups, the guy you bought it off probably had a modified ps2, thats why it loaded on his ps2. You cant actually program the ps2 to get the games to work, you need to buy a mod chip or swap magic.
