AR2 ver1.9T with AR max, please help!!!

please anyone who knows how to activate code on AR max with swap trick using AR2 ver1.9T to boot PS2???

i have a fat PS2 SCPH-30006 and can only be booted to play back-up PS2 gmes with AR2 ver1.9T(blue print cd format) that comes with a memory card and a dvd driver(brown print dvd format).

i dont know if this is the correct way to use the AR Max with the swap method. please for those who knows the right trick please correct me.

1. insert AR2
2. press reset again to off ps2
3. press reset again for about 2 sec or so until green light flashes twice.
then Playstation2 logo will appear.
4. wait for the tray to open automatically.
5. then swap Ar2 with dvd driver and wait until "press X....." will appear in the screen....tray will open automatically and
6. swap dvd driver with AR max( back-up).....

in step 6 is where the problem is, after loading AR max(back-up) and activated some cheat codes " please insert disk......" will appear in the screen. i oppened the tray and swap AR max with my back-up PS2 DVD game and there you go the "AR max cannot read disk" will appear in the screen. i already tried 5 (back-up) dvd game on this method still having the same error i even tried a original PS2 dvd game, will AR max reads it but when it try to launch the game and "launching game" will appear in the screen it goes no were but hang.

am i doing the right thing??? pleas advice.
