I have 13 AVIs totaling about 2.36 gigs, 22 minutes long each. is there any way to make all these avis play on a single 4 gig dvd? I am new to this dvd movie burning thing, but if a dvd can hold 4 gigs, why wouldnyt it be able to fit all of these movies on there. I tried doing it through Nero vision but it said it was way over the 4 gig limit.

yeah, you're gunna want to put them onto 2 dif dvds, 6 on one 7 on the other. if you try to put that many mins of video on 1 single-layer disc, the quality will by horrible.

Since the videos you have are .inavi format they will have
to be coverted to standard dvd format.
This will increase the size of the complication.
For best quality I would follow sukhvail's advice and split them to
two dvd's or one DVD-9 disc.
You could add them to one complication and use DVD Shrink to compress,
But there will be a noticible loss of quality,
(Unless your video is cartoons or something of that nature,)
In that case the differnce might not be as noticible.

yeah they are simponson shows, 140 mbs each. do you think that woudl kill the quality. do you think compressing them in DVD Shrink will kill that quality?

i have south park episodes in the same format and are roughly the same size. i put them on 2 dvd's and the quality loss is minimal. however, some compression was made and i believe that putting 13 eps on one dvd will make the quality horrible and almost unplayable. i highly reccomend putting them on 2 dif dvd's

well i had 6 episodes of 300mb each and fit them all onto one dvd single layer disc and i used automatic compression in shrink and the quality was just fine & dandy.

You could try makin copys of the simpsons episodes in case it does turn the quality awful. So that way you can try it with shrink and see how it goes.

But sykhvail an jizmak know what they're talking about so it most probably would be best to split them onto 2 dvds =] or as they said one dvd 9

good luck

You could also invest in a DivX player so you don't have to convert to dvd. They are cheap now
