oK let me just say that i am not anti-sony, hell you can even say im a fan of there products, i own the psp and ps2 but one thing that pissed me off recently were sony's price points. They have no consideration for the middle class and working class citizens, charging $600 for the system and $60-$80 for just games is just ridiculous. Sony will fail just like PSP. I dont know the exact satistics but the DS sold three times as much as the PSP. Yea the psp is cooler but the DS is cheaper and alot more fun.I did my research about the Wii, it has some very strong and unique titles(SUPER SMASH BROES!!!!)and what really made me change my mind from ps3 to Wii is the price point. Nintendo stated that the Wii will not exceed $250(249.99 is still an awesome deal) and the games are still $50, so unless your a die-hard playstation fan or a rich kid than i would suggest getting a Wii.

yup you sure did. judging by your research with the listing of only one game for the wii and how you pointed out that the psp has failed, only makes me believe you are a money conscious and well informed consumer. you sure covered all the angles on this one.

i dont need your flame, seriously im just voicing my opinion so get a life nerd. Its my opinion and from what i hear opinions are never wrong. Im not rich and im not a die hard playstation fan so im not buying the ps3 period. Just voicing my opinion, i like video games but not enough to spit out $600+. Im not a Wii spokesman, im jus happy to see that nintendo is releasing its system at a fair price. And Super Smash broes is one of my favorites so thats an other reason
In the end Hade, its my opinion and my facts are indeed on the web(just didnt feel like posting them) you cant change that unfortunly. My words to you is get a life, cuz only nerds critize opinions.

you just proved that you have no idea what the ps3 really offers. the ps3 is not strictly a GAME CONSOLE. no other console has backwards compatibility with both of its previous models at no extra charge. now before some get a little silly, let me explain what i mean. yes the Wii will feature their previous nintendo games from different systems via downloads and the ps3 as well, BUT you cannot physically take your tecmo superbowl game and directly play it on the Wii. you can download games, but im referring to the physcial side of things(can't just pop and play a game). So in reality the ps3 is ironically, 3 systems in one. go figure!
then there happens to be the pride and joy of sony, Blu-ray. This happens to also be the center of much controversy as people feel like "they forced Blu-ray on us." so keep in mind, a Blu-ray player retails for $999.99, yet that functionality is incorporated into the ps3. now i didn't mention games being on the BD format, tilt, and i could go on and mention other factors like Cell, but its a lost cause.
So take some of that into consideration before you get all worked up about sony's pricing. if anything with all that the ps3 features, it would appear that the ps3 is being offered at a fairly modest price. of course one would have to understand such features. you can cry all you want, but nothing is going to change. also keep in mind your post is pro Wii in the PS3 forum. your not going to get a lot of support here, and im not sure what you expected. the pricing was released back in MAY, and all of a sudden now you come along and "voice your opinion." did you really think this wasn't brought up time and time again, and do we really need another thread like this???(search function) there is already a thread for debating the consoles

Sorry hade, i have a life and it doesn't consist of playing games 100% of my time. Wii is the better choice for me and Ps3 is obviously your choice. I do admit the ps3 sounds like its worth the price but $500 no matter what is too much for me when i could get the 360 or wii. You can say as much as you want in this thread cause im done cuz i cant win a discussion with a nerd lol. by the way im 18(didnt really feel lik checkin my spellin or grammer so i understand why you guys are asking my age)
