Hi, I have a DMS4 Pro SE and it is supposed to played DVDs no matter what region. But when I put in a DVD that is PAL it says "TV system doesnt match." Whats the problem??

Exactly what it says. Your TV doesnt match the DVDs picture signal. You need a TV that supports both 60Hz NTSC & 50Hz PAL.

thats not right though.. I had my friends xbox and e had a modchip and region free thing. And I could watch it on the same TV.

I also think its the tv, what signal does your tv support, is should support both PAL(50Hz) and NTSC(60Hz) in order for the picture to come up correctly. And was the dvd your friends xbox was playing from a different region, maybe it wasnt which is why it worked fine on your tv. Most probably your tv only supports one type of signal.

No the DVD that I played in my friends xbox is the exact same DVD that Im trying to play in my PS2.. the same DVD worked fine when I was playing it on my XBOX. exact same TV and exact same DVD.

Maybe on the xbox it played because the chipped forced it too, whereas on the playstation2 it doesnt do that. Unless if you do force mode, which i think is possible on the DMS4
