I backed-up my Monster Rancher Evo game, I have a modded ps2 with Myth600 and asked my suplier if there was any wake-up mode without rebooting, after a long time he said the mythchip didn't have that feature but the DUO3 chip has it he says, and he would switch the myth600 for the duo3 at no charge other then shipping, but before I go though all the hassle, I was wondering if the duo3 chip can be switched on within a game without rebooting first, I can't really figure out all the mod-chip stats.

Why I backed-up my games to begin with was to save my $50-$60 bought games from damage and overuse.

This link has all the specifications of the mod chip:
http://www.modchip.com/ps2/duo3order.php
But what is the point of turning a chip on while in-game? unless if you meant turning it off.

I guess you've never played Monster Rancher before, you make monster by ejecting the game disc and putting your dvds and cds in and then ejecting again and putting back your game disc.

and anyway the features/stats sound great but I'm a total newbie, I don't understand most of it.

Yea, your right i havnt played it. But there are other threads on this forum which tell you how to play backed up games that require multiple disks, so maybe if you have a search you might find something. Sorry i cant be of any help.

Im not sure, since i dont have any games that are more than 1 disk, but it has already been covered on the forum, i saw it sometime ago but with a different game, i had a search but could find anything. Change the name of this thread to soemthing more specific, so someone who has loaded a game that requires you to swap disks in the middle can help you out. Sorry cant be off much help.
