It means it's been modified either through software (softmod) or hardware (modchip installed). Also, it has an N64 emulator (probably Surreal64) installed that can play N64 roms.

EvoX is a very common and reliable dashboard used by many people.
UnleashX is based on the MS dashboard, and sports all the features of EvoX and then some.
So yeah, they're good.

I wouldn't say it's a noob dashboard. It's well featured, and for those that desire a dashboard that resembles the MS dash, it works quite well.

A soft mod can be used to play NTSC games with a PAL display just fine.
By default, a homebrew dashboard will load a game in the Xbox's region. So if you load an NTSC game on a PAL Xbox, you'll get a PAL display.
If you're getting an NTSC Xbox, just go in the dash settings and change it to PAL

my t.v is a colour one but it only suports 50hertz not 60hertz mean it will play PAL stuff in colour but not NTSC.
but saying that when i had my ps2 softmodded(swap magic) it would play us games in black nd white but then when i gt my mod chip it played us games in colour.
so what i am wondering since i have my xbox modded will it play us games in colour?

PS2's are different than Xbox. With PS2 games, the signal had to be converted through software means, which is why they didn't always display properly afterwards. With a chipped PS2, it's done more efficiently because of the chip. With Xbox, the hardware settings are what decide the output signal, so you get native signals regardless of whether it's softmodded or chipped. Or at least, that's how it seems compared to my PS2 (Swap Magic) and my GameCube (Qoob Pro).

Yes they will... that's the point I was trying to make. If you play an NTSC game on a PAL Xbox, you get a native PAL signal rather than an emulated one like the PS2 and GameCube output.

Start -> Run -> type cmd and hit ok
Then type in ipconfig/all and you should get all the information you'll need.
Also, make sure you set your PC to those settings in the NIC settings as well, so it'll have a static IP.
