updating sid 2.0 to sid 4.0 or 4.5

I have tried to do it but when tried to restore the ms dash it said something like need to connect to xboxlive to update and could not get past that to install sid 4.0 installer on to hdd. Anyone have a idea on how to do this or tutorial on how to.

Yeah, make sure you have an uptodate ms dashboard b4 you start.

Are you currently back to retail? If so, load a game like Halo 2 (or newer), make sure you are disconnected from the internet on your Xbox. When the main menu loads, click XBOX LIVE, and if you dont' have the current dash, it will install it for you then ;)
