Max Drive - READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

I bought a Max Drive the other day and it was working fine and stuff, but its NOT A REAL MEMORY CARD. IT IS A NORMAL USB FLASH DRIVE. It just has a software CD that you put in your ps2 and it CONVERTS the saves into .max files. So basically YOU JUST PAY FOR THE SOFTWARE CD AND A 16MB USB FLASH DRIVE! i found this out when i just decided to stick in a normal USB flash drive to see what happened, and it actually recognised it and converted the save games. see what i thought was that it was actually recognised as a memory card in the ps2 browser like a normal one.

I'm not really saying don't buy it, but just think about what your getting. It's still a good thing, good for saving replays from PES and stuff, even though the converting and saving may be a tad long-winded

Yeah, but you need the software with it, otherwise it is pretty much useless.

yeah thats what i said. you get the software, and thats basically the only thing that you really need. so you could just get the software CD cheaper off eBay and use your normal flash drive.

now i see that you cant use just any flash drive you need the MAX DRIVE...but still buy a 64MB memory card its better
