I've got a large img file on my hard drive and I would like to burn it to a single layer blank dvd and I don't currently have a dual layered burner or blank dual layered dvds. Is there a way to do this?

The file size is approx 5.7gigs. Is there a way that I can convert either a ISO or an IMG file to a Video_TS type file?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!!!!!!!!

When you say image file, are you talking about a movie or data? What format is the file in now?

The file is in a .IMG format now. I don't know how to shrink this file and I can't seem to convert it to a Video_TS format. If I can get it to a Video_TS format then I could use DVDShrink to burn the image to a single layered dvd.

Again, I don't have a dual layered dvd burner.

Thanks!!!!!

Change the .IMG file extension to .ISO and then open it in DVD Shrink to create an ISO and burn with Imgburn.

If that dosent work then extract the IMG file. If this is a DVD movie then it should extract the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder from it. You can extract an IMG file or ISO file using WinRAR if you have that installed. All you have to do is right click on the ISO and then choose to extract the IMG file.

If you cant figure how to do it with WinRAR then you could always download ISOBuster from the link below and extract the folders from the IMG/ISO that way.

http://www.isobuster.com/isobusterdownload.php

You then will need to load the extarcted files into a program like DVDShrink/Recode 2/CloneDVD2 whatever program you use to trasncode/encode the DVD.
