I want to back up my sons carton cd which has 7 catoons on it but when I put it in smart ripper it shows all VOB's but lists the total of them as being 20 minutes which is the legnth of the first VOB. If I unhightlight the first VOB it still says 20 minutes total for the rest of the VOB's? Any Ideas on how to fix this before my son gets a chance to scratch his movie? Thanks

If you rip the DVD, there will be a file called IFO. As long as you include this when compressing or burning, it will automatically pick up all other vob files. It is the menu system for the vob files.

I am not sure I 100% understand what you mean, but make sure your settings with SmartRipper have filesplitting as every VOB and you use File Mode for ripping if you are going to process the movie with something like DVD2ONE. As Oriphus states, you will need to check the IFO as well,usually the one two lines above the first VOB and with the same suffix as the preselected VOBs.

In Smartripper slect the FILE button and then hit ALL
After it has ripped all files you'll need either DVD2One or DVD Shrink to compress FULL-DISK

My Method for Futurama Season 2 - 4 Disc Set
Smartripper [all files]
DVD2One [full-disk]
Nero
