i ripped "They" using smartripper...but everytime i try to open the VOB files in dvd2avi to rip the audio, it starts somewhere in the middle of the movie...it seems to have all the vob files...and in fact if i only let smartripper rip the first 10%, dvd2avi will start at the begining...am i missing something?

Do the VOB files start something like this:

VTS_01_1.VOB

?

And you should have quite a few of them in the little white box when you open the file in DVD2AVI.

Try doing the same thing in File mode with DVDecrypter and then we will know if it is a problem with SmartRipper or DVD2AVI. Download DVDecrypter from us, under software / rippers.

I Think i've seen this happen a few times on some Disney titles, it's like Smart Ripper overwrites the first file with a smaller file which is supposed to be the ending file.

I Always made it ask me before overwriting some existing file, so when it come to that point i'd simply say no, and it will skip it, and then i've had all the movie.

i have dvd decrypter running right now...ive never used it before...so i hope i have it right...its making vob files...so maybe i am...

i dont know where to set in smartripper to make it ask me before overwriting...if you can tell me ill try that too.

is there somewhere on here that will give me a step by step with dvd decrypter? i saw it for dvdr, but im doing vcd...does it matter?
