Hi all,
I have a fliptop installed to my old PS2, I recently bought a FULL(official) PAL PS2 game. I went to play it, and the disc played at first, but after a while the cutscenes and gameplay were freezing every once and a while. Eventually the game did not work at all. The game would not even load on Swap Magic. The game was bought brand new over the internet... It's not like the game was pre-played or anything...
The title of the game(in case this helps) is Forbidden Siren 2.
I have 3 other PAL games, which both play fine. One of them actually cuts off a bit at the bottom.. I heard that you have to get a region adaptor( I have no idea if that would work) I have already invested a lot into this PS2, and do not want to invest much more for the sake of one game.
Please let me know if you can help!
could just be that the game is too "good" for ur version of the PS2.
just like if u have a very old DVD player it may not play a film like lord of the rings ( the reason i chose this movie is because i know some1 this happened 2 )
Odd, I have two new games that were bought (new) and they are from 2006.. They work fine.
Are you sure that this game is, as you say "too good" for my PS2?
Thecraig, your post makes no sense. How could the game be too good for my PS2, it should support all games. Please only give input if you are serious. Not a joking manner... I really need help with this!
You sound rediculous. I doubt you know what you are talking about, hopefully someone that knows what they are talking about can help me. Instead of this jackass.
Hey, sounds like everyone needs to take a deep breath. Now, you probably need to patch the game to work on your US PS2. You need DVD Decrpyter and a patching program (both free). I'm leaving work so I can't do the search for you, but search for "PAL on NTSC" or something like that (on this site) and see what you find. It should be something like PS2 patcher with y fix. Just burn the game to your hard drive, patch, then burn to a blank disc. If you don't know how to back-up games, do a search on this site, there are plenty of guides. Good luck!
