I am running Xcopy Platinum with AnyDVD in the background. I have tried to burn several different movies onto DVD +R discs in my DL Lightscribe drive. The software reads and burns the disc. It then says burn successful. When I try to view the disc the disc is not recognized, I tried to open the disc on my PC and it doesn't even see a disc in the drive. I have tried to reburn on the same disc and was told that I needed to insert a blank disc, so it has burned something but nothing recognizes it. My drive is an HP Dual Layer Lightscribe DVD +- RW. Please HELP!!!!!!

Try using 1 of the below programs instead of DVD Xcopy. That program is outdated.

CloneDVD (From slysoft the same company that makes AnyDVD)

DVDShrink

Nero Recode2 (If you have Nero ultra you should have Recdoe2)

Still use AnyDVD when using any of the above programs.

Try using CloneDVD or DVDShrink. These are two great programs for burning DVD's.

Also make absolutely sure that you are using GOOD QUALITY MEDIA!
If you are using DVD+R, make sure you booktype them to DVD-ROM or they won't play in most players.

Make sure you have updated firmware on your DVD-Drive.

But I would also try using a diffrent program I suggested above when baking up a DVD.

Below is a media guide on diffrent classes of media. If your media is Class 3 or Class 4 then I would suggest getting diffrent media. But I also would suggest getting Class 1 media before Class 2.

You need to know the manufatures ID# of the disc.

To get that number do the folowing if you have Nero.

START/PROGRAMS/NERO and find Nero Info Tool.

Place a blank DVD in the drive then start Nero Info Tool. Once it scans click on the DISC TAB and it should give you the Manufaturs ID# in the list.
