To answer your Q! Quite a few items can support a USB keyboard / Mouse! Here are just the ones i can think of at the mo (I havent tried these out myself)
UnleashX : Dashboard
XBMC: Xbox Media Center
QuakeX: Only tried mouse in 1.
Linux: Pretty much all distros now support keyboards!
As for how to get this working in these programs, heres the good news, the drivers are allready built into the apps! You just plug them in and they should work! You will need to modify a controller cable, buy a smart-frag joy or if you have the Xenium adaptor plug it into a controller port!
