I guess I should restate that. Since the manufacture of BenQ dvds are made by BenQ. (i think) Where are they made?
If they are made in Japan then Meritline has 100 pack of 8x DVD+R for 19.99 shipped and that would be a great deal if they are good media.
-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.
Yeah after research I def will stay with my Tys. I just thought that with the name BenQ that it should quaility. Shame on them for putting there name on them.
I'm not sure where daxon media is from. I never ran into that code.
Same exact thing goes for Khypermedia. Mediocre drives, and crap media!!!
These benqs will burn anything you throw at them. The bummer is low quality media will give you a lot higher chance for playback issues on stand alone players.
$20 per 100, check out Office Depot's brand name media sale that they have about once a month. They've got some decent media in that price range.
