hi whenever i go on a site and i want to watch a video that uses windows media player on that site it doesnt work,there are only the buttons but no video window.can someone tell me how to fix this?

The issue may have to do with the flash plugin. That same plugin that's needed for MSN/Windows Live Messenger to send 'winks'. Found here:

It gave me a rash of problems with MSN Video not wanting to play in IE. Not guaranteed to solve the issue since MS totally blew chunks into how flash is played in IE.

Do any errors show?
Any sound?
Could possibly need a codec, what exstension is the file you're trying to play?
You could download the VLC Media Player for free, the best around at this moment in time.
