Dead Rising: I'm on the helipad but the pilot can't see me. What Gives?

I've completed the whole story and returned to the helipad to get the ending A or B. But for some reason the guy can't see me and I don't get the good ending what gives please help if you know whats going on?

have you gone back to Isabel? Because if you haven't you get ending 'C'...not ending 'A'

No I was standing on the helipad so the tranceiver wasn't able to reach me. I saved my game to close to 12 00 pm so I had to take ending c. But thank you I'm gonna play through again and get the infinity mode unlocked now.

ah...that kinda sucks. But I enjoy story mode a lot more than infinity mode.
