Hi,
these are my details
Phone: Nokia 6101b
IMEI# 358838001400606
Provider: Cellular One (Dobson Communications system)
Country: USA
New Phone (april 2006)

I have allready tried 3 times, and i guess am left with only 2 other options. I tried with the free nokia unlock program, which worked for my 6230s last time. But my problem now is the provider is not listed among the choices. The provider is Cellular One, a unit of Dobson Communications Corporation (Dobson.net). My state is Michigan, USA.
I have spoken with Nokia and they said they donot lock the phones and have nothing to do with it. My provider Cellular one said that they only lock Blackberries and donot lock Nokias. So here iam, and i need to send this phone as a gift next week.

Try a different sim in the phone because Cellular One is not known for locking all models they have.

Hi

I have tried the Cingular SIM, and the phone starts but does not show any reception. There is no Cingular in this region and Cingular has a roaming agreement with Cellular one over here.
And when i put in thye 3 unlock codes, what i got was a message that said restriction still present. So, even though Cellular one told me that there is no restriction placed by them, there seems to be some restriction on my phone.

If the phone was locked, you should see "Phone Restricted" when you put the Cingular sim in. It looks to me that Cingular just doesn't cover your area. They might say they do but CIngular is well known for telling people lies.
